Why is People Count important?

An accurate and real time people count of a building is important in two aspects:
1. Knowing the exact number of people helps when evacuation is required in case of a fire or any other emergency.
2. People count data collected over a period of time helps in analyzing trends and planning of building resources like HVAC, lighting, elevators etc.

People counting through PFCs of Access Barriers

Most buildings these days use access barriers like turnstiles, DFMD (Door Frame Metal Detector) to secure and control access to its premises. Tanos can integrate with these barriers using PFCs (Potential Free Contacts) and count the number of people passing through these barriers.

People counting through integration with Access Control Software

Tanos can integrate with various Access Control Softwares used for access control in a building/premise through APIs provided by the software or with direct access to the system database.

Analytics

The Tanos application displays real-time people counts as well as
in-depth analytics.
